J. Rigali, a dealer in cigars and tobacco, erected <a href=\"http:\/\/mhc-macris.net\/Details.aspx?MhcId=HLY.97\">the building at 341-346 High Street<\/a> in Holyoke (on the right in the image above) <a href=\"http:\/\/photos.masslive.com\/republican\/2014\/05\/carved_in_stone_67.html\">in 1887<\/a>. It was designed by <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_P._B._Alderman\">George P. B. Alderman<\/a>. Various businesses have occupied <a href=\"http:\/\/wistariahurst.org.s46765.gridserver.com\/walk-holyoke\/images\/hi-res\/Rigali-old.jpg\">the building<\/a> over the years. Just to the left of the Rigali building in the picture above is <a href=\"http:\/\/mhc-macris.net\/Details.aspx?MhcId=HLY.98\">the building at 345-347 High Street<\/a>, occupied by the YMCA from the late 1880s until 1893 and then occupied by the YWCA until 1910. In the late 1940s the two buildings were taken over by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.findagrave.com\/cgi-bin\/fg.cgi?page=gr&#038;GRid=117200517\">Henry A. Moquin<\/a> (1919-1976), a dance instructor who restored <a href=\"http:\/\/wistariahurst.org.s46765.gridserver.com\/walk-holyoke\/images\/hi-res\/Rigali-new.jpg\">the structures<\/a> and had <a href=\"http:\/\/holyokemass.com\/2014\/09\/25\/moquin-school-of-the-dance\/\">his dance studio<\/a> on the third floors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>L.
