In 1836 it was purchased by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.historic-northampton.org\/highlights\/graham.html\">Sylvester Graham<\/a>, who lived there until his death in 1851. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sylvester_Graham\">Sylvester Graham<\/a> was a dietary reformer and temperance advocate who emphasized vegetarianism and baking <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Graham_bread\">a type of bread<\/a> made with unbolted wheat flour, known as <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Graham_flour\">Graham Flour<\/a>.
