The modifications were made in the late 1940s when, to increase its size, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.masslive.com\/entertainment\/index.ssf\/2010\/10\/restaurant_review_miss_florenc.html\">the diner<\/a> was remodeled with additions that gave it an L-shape and a cross-barrel roof.
