It was located on North Street, on the northwest corner of the burial ground. The church&#8217;s growth led to the construction of <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=ICM1AAAAIAAJ&#038;client=firefox-a&#038;pg=PA441#v=onepage&#038;q&#038;f=false\">a larger building<\/a> in 1850, which was <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=ICM1AAAAIAAJ&#038;client=firefox-a&#038;pg=PA442#v=onepage&#038;q&#038;f=false\">enlarged and remodeled<\/a> in 1874-1875. This church was demolished in 1920 to make way for the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.emporis.com\/building\/onotabuilding-pittsfield-ma-usa\">Onota Building<\/a>. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.criticalchristian.com\/reviews\/review.asp?id=223\">First Baptist Church<\/a>&#8216;s current <a href=\"http:\/\/mhc-macris.net\/Details.aspx?MhcId=PIT.71\">edifice<\/a>, at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/rusty_clark\/4368204569\/in\/photostream\/\">88 South Street<\/a>, was built in 1927-1930 (the parish house being completed first in 1926).
