The church had been used for town meetings, but now religious and government functions were separated, so that in addition to <a href=\"http:\/\/fpc-stow-acton.org\/\">a new church<\/a>, a <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:Stow_MA_Town_Hall.jpg\">town hall<\/a> was also constructed.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.stow-ma.gov\/pages\/stowma_webdocs\/stowhistory\/19th%20Century%20Stow\">Both buildings<\/a> were built with nearly identical <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:Stow_MA_First_Parish_Church.jpg\">Greek Revival facades<\/a>.  The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardcow.com\/232824\/town-hall-stow-massachusetts\/\">Town Hall<\/a> was built by Micah Smith, a carpenter and millwright.  According to <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/File:Stow_MA_Town_Hall_plaque.jpg\">a plaque<\/a> on the building, it cost $2,559.73.
