Today we feature an appropriately <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Cobb_House\">Gothic house<\/a>.  <a href=\"http:\/\/mhc-macris.net\/Details.aspx?MhcId=WOR.686\">The house<\/a> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.trulia.com\/homes\/Massachusetts\/Worcester\/sold\/1000040596-24-William-St-Worcester-MA-01609\">24 William Street<\/a> in Worcester was built c. 1875.  Its first <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=gvcCAAAAYAAJ&#038;pg=PA99#v=onepage&#038;q&#038;f=false\">resident<\/a> was George Cobb, a <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=gb9T041oAcQC&#038;dq=cobb%20fish%20worcester&#038;pg=RA4-PA300#v=onepage&#038;q=cobb%20fish%20worcester&#038;f=false\">fish and oyster merchant<\/a> (his <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=uwMDAAAAYAAJ&#038;pg=PA336#v=onepage&#038;q&#038;f=false\">fish market<\/a> was at 135 Front Street).  <a href=\"http:\/\/landmarkhunter.com\/153108-george-cobb-house\/\">The house<\/a> is now divided <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zillow.com\/homedetails\/24-William-St-APT-1A-Worcester-MA-01609\/2121579260_zpid\/\">into apartments<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Happy Halloween!
