She set <a href=\"http:\/\/misfitandmom.wordpress.com\/2008\/11\/24\/the-hearth-and-eagle-by-anya-seton\/\">the novel<\/a> in the Hearth and Eagle Inn, based on the house at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.zillow.com\/homedetails\/30-Franklin-St-Marblehead-MA-01945\/56941852_zpid\/\">30 Franklin Street<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.legendinc.com\/Pages\/MarbleheadNet\/MM\/Articles\/DrivingTour.html\">Marblehead<\/a>.  The house was built c. 1715-1721 by the father of <a href=\"http:\/\/mass.historicbuildingsct.com\/?p=2107\">Elbridge Gerry<\/a> and was enlarged in 1750.
