It resembles an earlier Italianate house, designed by William F. Pratt and built in 1856 on nearby Pomeroy Terrace [the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbeslibrary.org\/special\/Photos_Subject_Index.pdf\">William Lawrence House<\/a>, which burned down in 1982], but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtor.com\/property-detail\/109-Bridge-St_Northampton_MA_01060_6a958d05?source=web\">the Bridge Street house<\/a> dates to much later, around 1875.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The house at 109 Bridge Street in Northampton is a fine example of an Italianate-style residence.
