Called the Solomon Richardson House, it was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cardcow.com\/134038\/richardson-house-sturbridge-massachusetts\/\">moved to Old Sturbridge Village<\/a> in 1940.  Now known as <a href=\"http:\/\/sketchup.google.com\/3dwarehouse\/details?mid=f19c193072d4afba8e08be43931c3fb9\">the Parsonage<\/a> (although it never served as a parsonage while it was a residence), it is now interpreted as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.osv.org\/explore_learn\/document_viewer.php?Action=View&#038;DocID=1026\">a minister<\/a>&#8216;s home.  <a href=\"http:\/\/mass.historicbuildingsct.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/001.jpg\">In earlier years<\/a> at the Village, it was <a href=\"http:\/\/mass.historicbuildingsct.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/002.png\">painted red<\/a>, but was recently <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/lysander2\/5067886302\/\">repainted white<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panoramio.com\/photo\/36645456\">harmonize<\/a> with the other Greek Revival era buildings on the Old Sturbridge Village Common.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The saltbox house in Old Sturbridge Village known as the Parsonage was built in the village of Podunk in the town of East Brookfield in 1748 by Thomas Bannister for the Richardson family.
