Samuel Hooper<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/books.google.com\/books?id=PeZUAAAAMAAJ&#038;pg=PA117#v=onepage&#038;q&#038;f=false\">a ship-master and merchant<\/a>.  <a href=\"http:\/\/mass.historicbuildingsct.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/01\/00001.jpg\">The house<\/a> is traditionally called the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.marbleheadhomesales.com\/bin\/web\/real_estate\/AR31650\/PROMOTE_VT\/1283894840.html?ZKEY=&#038;acnt=AR31650&#038;action=PROMOTE_VT&#038;hs_action=VIEW_DETAIL&#038;inwindow=&#038;listing_id=REAGAD38381490&#038;start=0&#038;grp=ALL\">Capt. Evans House<\/a>, for Capt.
