Built in 1912<\/a>, the United States Post Office<\/a> in Deerfield<\/a> was remodeled<\/a> in 1952 to look like<\/a> Deerfield’s third meeting house<\/a>, which was in use<\/a> from 1696 to 1728. It originally stood on Deerfield’s town common<\/a>. An original picture<\/a> of the meeting house is on the upper right corner<\/a> of a drawing of town<\/a>, Delineated Deerfield<\/a><\/em>, by Dudley Woodbridge, a physician from Mystic, Connecticut<\/a> who kept a 5-page journal<\/a> of his 1728 journey from Cambridge to Sunderland.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
